Coniferous plywood is a material outer layers of which are made from peeled veneer of softwood.

According to State Standard, coniferous plywood is a material outer layers of which are made from peeled veneer of coniferous wood species (pine, larch, if, fir and cedar). Whereas the inner layers can be made from both softwood and hardwood, provided that the quality of the resulting material will meet the standards.

In the production of such plywood, Angarsk pine and Siberian larch are often used. Both materials have unique properties. The qualitative characteristics of the Angarsk pine are known all over the world. First of all, it is a high strength and density of the material, also in such wood there is no undesirable inclination of the fibers and there is no roll. Such material is absolutely environmentally friendly, and also has antibacterial properties.

At present, it is profitable to buy PSF(plywood and phenol-formaldehyde glue) coniferous plywood, because it differs from associates in the highest strength and rigidity of the form, as well as at an affordable price.  Production consists in gluing veneer layers with synthetic-based glue. The special strength of such a material is due to the special formation of wood fibers in adjacent sheets with a perpendicular arrangement. Thus, coniferous plywood is resistant even to strong mechanical stress.

The wood of coniferous trees is rich in resin, which makes the material moisture resistant and resistant to rotting and fungus infection.

Veneer obtained from coniferous wood, according to experts, has fewer defects. Pine wood is 20% lighter than birch raw material and inferior in strength by the same amount during material bending. The outer layers of veneer at high temperatures begin to release resin, and this is not suitable for all types of construction.

The use of coniferous plywood is quite extensive: it is used as a substrate when laying parquet, while birch is not suitable in this regard. Plywood is used in the creation of flooring under the roof, the construction of temporary buildings, in the manufacture of inexpensive and durable packaging, pallets, containers. Listing all the areas of application of coniferous plywood, you can get lost in the time. In general, such material is somewhat cheaper than its birch counterpart and is used mainly in the construction industry.
